Sentimental Evergreen Brickworks Toronto Wedding | Leslie + Damien
Sometimes a place can mean so much, and to Leslie and Damien, it's The Beaches area in Toronto. Thereβs a whole story behind it for them. Not only is it a place where they both live, but also where they met and where their parents live. It's a place filled with the history of their relationship. Being able to document it for them as a Toronto documentary wedding photographer was very special. Knowing that for years to come, theyβll be able to look back and remember not only that special time but also this particular placeβI love how sentimental and meaningful it is.
On their wedding day, it was really hot, and the guys kicked the day off by spending time at Damien's parents' house, just chilling by the pool and goofing around. They even had their dog, Kevin, there playing with them, which was super fun to document. These are the moments I live for as a documentary wedding photographerβthe real, unposed wedding pictures Toronto couples cherish that tell the story of your day.
The girls were pretty much ready by the time I got there, and I loved that they were able to relax and spend quality time together, connecting and enjoying each other's company. And, of course, when Leslie put on her wedding dress, there were so many emotional moments. Capturing these candid wedding photos is what makes my heart sing.
When it was time for the first look, it was all about them connecting in their meaningful placeβThe Beaches. It's where they walk their dog Kevin every day, and it's such a sentimental location for them both. As a wedding photographer in Toronto, I know how important it is to choose a spot that feels like home for your engagement session or first look.
Before the ceremony, Leslie and Damien were able to have some alone time together at the venue. And what a gorgeous venue it wasβEvergreen Brickworks. If youβre dreaming of an Evergreen Brickworks wedding, let me just say, itβs pure magic. The whole day was so magicalβthe sun was shining bright, and there was so much happiness and love in the air. At the end of the ceremony, they made it even more epic by popping some confetti!
Even though it was a big space, it felt so close-knit because they share such a special bond with friends and family. In between the meals, family members walked over, kissed them on the forehead, and spent some time with them. You could just tell how close they all are. It was very special and reminded me of how important it is to keep up with relationships and the most important people in your life. These are the moments that make storytelling wedding photography in Ontario so meaningful.
And who would've thought that I'd get one of the best photos of the night at the party when everyone went crazy to the song βShoutβ and threw Leslie up in the air? Honestly, you guys, it was such an epic night seeing everyone having the time of their livesβpartying, celebrating, and connecting.
